The Raiffeisen-ID app is an innovative security method for logging in and authorizing transactions in Raiffeisen Online Banking. Raiffeisen customers can activate the Raiffeisen-ID app at their own Raiffeisen branch or directly within their online banking service.

Functionality:
The Raiffeisen-ID app employs an innovative security process. Here, Raiffeisen Online Banking encrypts login and transaction data into a color matrix. This color matrix is then captured from the screen using the camera integrated into your smartphone. The data contained within the color matrix and the corresponding authorization code are decoded and displayed on the smartphone by this app. Once the app is activated, only your smartphone can decrypt the color matrix displayed on the screen. This security process is used for logging in and authorizing transactions, with no need for an internet or phone connection on your smartphone.

When connected to the internet, login and transaction authorization can alternatively be done through a push notification. Raiffeisen Online Banking sends a push notification to the Raiffeisen-ID app. Within the app, login and transaction details are shown and can be confirmed or rejected. The login or transaction is then automatically authorized or declined within online banking.

To authenticate with the Raiffeisen-ID app, users need to set a PIN number, fingerprint, or facial recognition. For logging in and authorizing transactions, the established PIN, fingerprint, or facial recognition must be accurately input into the Raiffeisen-ID app.
